The Israeli company Elbit Systems is set to begin the delivery of drones to Romania, after a series of delays.

The Israeli company Elbit Systems announced on Monday that it is ready to begin the delivery of Watchkeeper X drones to Romania, as part of a contract worth 1.89 billion lei (428.75 million dollars), after last week, the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, warned that it could cancel the agreement due to delays.

Despite the challenges posed by the security situation in Israel, recognized as a major force by the company's clients, the project is given high priority, Elbit Systems stated.

The company also communicated that the systems are ready for final acceptance tests in Romania, scheduled for the end of April, subject to the approval of Romanian regulatory authorities.
