The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has announced that, between November 21-23, Romania will be affected by a mass of air loaded with Saharan dust, originating from North Africa. This phenomenon is caused by the air circulation from the southwest sector, which facilitates the advance of dust particles towards the southeastern and central-southeastern parts of Europe.
The dust deposits will be visible in stages, starting with the western, northwestern, and northern regions of the country, and will later expand towards the east. The phenomenon will be more pronounced during rainfall, when the dust particles will settle together with the precipitation. ANM is monitoring the situation and will provide updates as the phenomenon unfolds.
