Bogdan Ivan stated that Romania, which was once an energy exporter, has now reached the point of importing 22% of its consumption at high prices. In the context of shutting down coal power plants, he emphasizes the need for urgent measures to reduce costs and prevent energy dependence. Additionally, Romania has lost 7000 MW of installed capacity and does not produce enough energy. Ivan mentioned the country's commitments to operationalize photovoltaic parks and gas power plants, but these remain unfinished.
