The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, announced that Romania has its natural gas storage filled to 95.5%, well above the European Union average of 82.8%. He also mentioned that there is a capping-compensation scheme until March 31, which will prevent price fluctuations that could affect the state budget. Ivan expressed confidence in the team of the National Energy Department and emphasized the importance of renegotiating with the European Commission to maintain coal-fired power plants and the digitalization of electrical networks.
