Radu Miruță stated that the deployment of additional American troops and logistical means on the territory of Romania does not involve risks, as the aircraft are not involved in military operations.

Radu Miruță, the Minister of Defense of Romania, stated that the United States requested logistical support, and this request was approved under strict conditions. Miruță asked for clarifications regarding the use of the aircraft deployed in Romania, receiving assurances that they would not leave loaded with weapons, to avoid the interpretation that Romania would become a co-belligerent state. He also stated that the level of risk has not increased after the arrival of American troops, and their presence is limited to specific roles, without involvement in military operations. Miruță emphasized that American military personnel conduct authorized activities, such as operating satellite communication equipment.
