Romania is among the most affected countries in the EU regarding access to dental services, with 16.2% of adults reporting difficulties in obtaining necessary treatments. People with limited financial resources are the most affected, with 43.5% of them unable to access dental care, compared to 12.6% of the rest of the population. The Eurostat report highlights significant gaps between people at risk of poverty and other groups, underscoring the need for reforms in the dental health system in Romania.
