The Romanian Ministry of Culture is coordinating the adoption of the European Regulation on press freedom, involving Parliament, CNA, ANCOM and press organizations. The Media Freedom Act aims to protect journalists, promote transparency in media ownership and prevent government interference in editorial activity. National regulations must clearly define media service providers and regulate digital players. At European level, Member States are at different stages of implementing this regulation.
