RetuRO has collected 10 billion packages through the Deposit-Return System since the beginning of the program.

RetuRO, the administrator of the Guarantee-Return System, has announced that it has reached the milestone of 10 billion packages collected since the launch of the system.

This amount can be compared to the circumference of the Earth 50 times or the distance between the Earth and the Moon five times. In two and a half years of activity, RetuRO has delivered recyclers over 700,000 tons of materials such as PET, aluminum, and glass, equivalent to 15 ships the size of the Titanic. The system aims for a collection rate of 85% by 2026 and contributes to Romania's transition to a circular economy, encouraging Romanians to adopt environmentally responsible behaviors.
