RetuRO, the administrator of the Warranty-Return System (SGR), reported significant results two years after the launch of this system, with nearly 8 billion packages returned. In the first ten months of 2025, approximately 4.5 billion packages were returned, and the collection rate reached 84%. Additionally, RetuRO delivered over 320,000 tons of PET, aluminum, and glass to recyclers. In October, a return rate of 104% was recorded, with 403 million packages returned, exceeding the number placed on the market. RetuRO operates on a not-for-profit principle, reinvesting any profit into the development of the SGR and contributing to Romania's circular economy. The company is supported by a consortium of private shareholders and the Romanian state, having the role of ensuring transparency in the management of packaging.
