In April, SGR collected 390 million packages, with a recycling rate of 80% for plastic and 71% for glass

Last month, the Guaranteed Return Guarantee Scheme (GRS) recorded an average of 13 million packages returned daily, totaling 1.45 billion packages since the beginning of the year. The recycling rate was 80% for plastic, 74% for aluminum and 71% for glass. Estimates suggest around 6 billion packages will be returned by the end of the year. SGR, active from November 2023, has more than 5,000 return machines across the country.
