Raed Arafat, head of the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), has been summoned to the Military Prosecutor's Office to be heard in the case concerning fictitious employment within the institution. According to RTV sources, Arafat could be charged for the way these employments were carried out.

Prosecutors are also investigating the purchase of a helicopter, and Arafat has denied the existence of fictitious employments, emphasizing that DSU complies with the legal framework. In a Facebook post, he stated that the information circulated in the public space is false or taken out of context, mentioning a smear campaign against him. The investigation targets several doctors who were formally employed at DSU but who allegedly did not carry out effective activity. Military prosecutors have conducted searches at the DSU headquarters, seizing mobile phones, including Arafat's, and the case is currently in the in rem phase, without any charges formulated so far.
