The head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat, explained that the Ro-Alert message was transmitted in the Capital during the heavy snowfall and blizzard, according to the procedures established when a red weather warning is issued. Arafat mentioned that the time of the message transmission was critical, as many residents were preparing to leave for work. Although the Ro-Alert sound is standard and cannot be modified at present, work is being done to introduce a differentiated sound signal to reduce nighttime discomfort. Arafat emphasized that alerts are essential for protecting those exposed to risks, and the messages are issued based on information from the National Meteorological Administration.
