Răzvan Iulian Ciortea, PSD deputy, was filmed driving a luxury vehicle, a BMX XM, valued at 110,000 euros, which does not appear in his wealth declaration. The car is owned by a medical devices company run by a friend of the parliamentarian.

Ciortea explained that he purchased the vehicle through a contract and that he will pay for it over three years, mentioning that it is not included in the wealth declaration because it does not belong to him until full payment is made. Additionally, his wife drives a similar car, owned by her mother's company. The deputy stated that he allows himself luxury due to his salary and emphasized that it is important to indulge in pleasures in life, without worrying about public opinion. The investigation also revealed discrepancies between the deputy's official income and the amounts in his accounts.
