In front of the Iranian Embassy in Bucharest, dozens of Iranian citizens protested for nearly two hours, expressing their gratitude towards the United States and Israel for the attacks on the regime in Iran. The protesters sang the Iranian national anthem and celebrated the death of Ali Khamenei, the former leader of the country, who was killed in an American attack. The participants, mostly young people, stated that they hope for a change in the totalitarian regime in Iran, thanking Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu for their support.
Among the protesters, Mehrbod emphasized that the attacks only target the strategic points of the regime, while Yassmin mentioned that her friends in Iran, despite being under bombardment, are happy and hope for freedom. Arian, a medical student, stated that military aid from the US and Israel is crucial to overthrow the regime. The protest took place in the context of ongoing American and Israeli attacks on Iran, and tensions in the region are escalating.
