Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan explained on Digi 24 the need to reduce by 20% the number of employees in ministries and government institutions, stressing that the restructuring must be completed by the fall. He said that there would be no compensation for those made redundant and asked the heads of institutions to justify each post according to performance and responsibility. The government will present a legislative package for the reorganization by the end of the month, while the development ministry has launched consultations on public administration reform.
