A young man has accused a police officer from the Galati traffic police of attempted intimidation, claiming the officer tried to frame him for a positive drug test. In a video posted on social media, the young man recounted a tense exchange, noting that the police officer reacted aggressively after winning a case against him. The incident took place during a traffic stop, where the officer had been smoking and turned off his bodycam. IPJ Galati started a disciplinary investigation to clarify the facts.
