The draft law proposed by the PNL aims to compensate electricity bills for vulnerable consumers by using the surplus energy generated by administrative-territorial units that produce energy from renewable sources. These units, which have invested in production capacity, can redistribute the energy surplus to help low-income families. The compensation will be regulated by local by-laws, setting out eligibility criteria and necessary procedures. The project is in public debate until June 23.
