At a press conference, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan highlighted the problems of the special pension system, especially for magistrates, who mostly retire at 48. Bolojan proposes that the standard retirement age should be 65 for most professions, except those requiring physical strength. He also criticized the way magistrates' pensions are calculated, noting that they end up being equivalent to the last salary. A second deficit reduction package will be adopted at the end of July.
