Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan held talks with representatives of the Association of Romanian Municipalities on the reform of local public administration, aimed at reducing staff costs, improving local tax collection and increasing the efficiency of public services. The government is working on a second package of measures to tackle the budget deficit and activate clauses related to local budgets. Consultations will continue in the coming period, involving other members of the government.
