A Romanian seriously injured in a fire is being transferred to Belgium by a military plane. Upon return, it will repatriate two Romanians recovered in Belgian hospitals.

On Friday, a Romanian Air Force C-27 J Spartan military aircraft carried out a humanitarian flight to transport a patient with severe burns from Olt County to Belgium, at the request of the Department for Emergency Situations. Raed Arafat, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, announced that the family of a second patient did not agree to his transfer. Upon the aircraft's return, two Romanians who suffered burns from an explosion in an apartment in Bacau County will be repatriated. The patients are monitored by a medical team during the flight; such transfers are common, given the limited treatment capacity for this type of patients in Romania.
