The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, stated that, due to unfavorable weather conditions, over 11,000 households in various counties, including Alba and Maramureș, are without electricity.

The intervention teams have worked intensively, carrying out 5,288 interventions to remedy the damages that initially affected 95,000 households. Currently, there are still 11,250 homes without power. Ivan convened the National Energy Command, anticipating a 20% increase in natural gas consumption in the coming days, amid falling temperatures. The estimated consumption will reach 57-58 million cubic meters per day, and the gas stocks in storage are at 70%, exceeding the European average of 50%.
