Optoelectronics launches the Sky Dome system for combating drones

In a recent exercise, Optoelectronics presented the Sky Dome system, designed to combat drone threats. It is developed in collaboration with SkyLock Systems and aligns with the requirements of the European Union's SAFE program. The system includes detection components such as LRF Detector, EO/IR sensor, radar, and acoustic sensor, as well as neutralization means, including jammers, GPS/GNSS spoofers, and anti-drone lasers.

At the event, the booth was visited by the Minister of National Defense, Radu Miruță, who showed interest in the laser's capability to neutralize drones, considering the threats in the border area with Ukraine. Optoelectronics demonstrated that the Sky Dome system successfully neutralized all drones used in the exercise, highlighting the effectiveness of the integrated solution.
