The project to upgrade Unit 1 at Cernavodă will be financed by a €540 million loan from J.P. Morgan, according to the Nuclearelectrica shareholders' agenda. They will also approve an €80 million guarantee for Energonuclear S.A. and the signing of a service contract with Framatome GmbH for the production of medical radioisotopes. The development of small modular reactors at Doicești and the investment strategy for 2025-2030 will also be discussed. Nuclearelectrica is 82.5% controlled by the Romanian state.
