President Nicușor Dan recently commented on the statements made by the head of ANAF regarding the influence of jam and other products prepared at home on the VAT gap. He acknowledged that part of the uncollected VAT comes from people's household activities, but emphasized that this does not justify banning the preparation of jam, zacuscă, or wine from grapes at home.

Dan highlighted that the major issue remains tax evasion, which is a much more serious matter than small-scale activities in households. This statement underscores his position of not restricting the household activities of citizens.
