In his message, Dan encouraged the religious denominations and communities in Romania to invest in constructive dialogue and to uphold European and democratic values. He also denounced religious extremism and the instrumentalization of religion for manipulation or violence. The President highlighted the positive role of religious denominations in mobilizing society for important objectives, emphasizing that this contributes to Romania's European path. January 16 is dedicated to appreciating the contribution of religious denominations to Romanian social life.
