Nicușor Dan, about the illegal nursing homes in Bihor: The next Minister of Labor must come with "strategies that have clear indicators" in the field of social assistance.

President Nicușor Dan reacted for the first time regarding the illegal nursing homes in Bihor, stating that the tragedy reveals the major deficiencies of the Romanian state. The head of state asked the future Minister of Labor to develop strategies based on clear indicators and concrete data for the reform of the social assistance system.

During a press conference held at the NATO Summit in Ankara, Nicușor Dan expressed his compassion for the victims in the case of the illegal nursing homes in Bihor and criticized the way state control institutions operate.

The president stated that "Romania is a state that operates with stories, narratives, politicians who declare, declaim, argue among themselves, but we do not have figures."

The head of state insisted that the next Minister of Labor must develop strategies with measurable indicators regarding the number of vulnerable people, the capacity of public and private centers, and concrete objectives for the coming years.
