The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, reacted firmly after Hungary blocked a 90 billion euro loan intended for Ukraine, stating that such an action is unacceptable. The statements were made at a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in which Dan emphasized the importance of financial support for Ukraine, both civil and military.

He mentioned that Romania will support any legal option proposed by the European Commission to overcome this blockage, considering that a meeting of the European Council is scheduled soon to discuss this issue. Meanwhile, the Hungarian Parliament adopted a motion opposing Ukraine's accession to the EU and the allocation of military aid, arguing that these measures could escalate tensions and involve Europe in conflict.
