Nicușor Dan: "Without discussion, Călin Georgescu was supported by an infrastructure backed by the Russian Federation"

In a radio broadcast on Europa FM, Nicușor Dan discussed the 2024 election scrutiny file, mentioning that he had correspondence and meetings with various institutions. The president stated that the evidence suggests that former candidate Călin Georgescu received support from the Russian Federation, emphasizing that Romania is facing a hybrid war.

Dan confirmed that he has evidence in this regard, but specified that the final report will not lead to the dismissal of the heads of the secret services. He highlighted the intensity of the situation in Romania, compared to other Western countries, and promised that the report will be presented this year, bringing new information compared to the previous one made by former Attorney General Alex Florența.
