Registrations of new vehicles in Romania increased significantly in August 2025, with a rise of 52.6% compared to the same month in 2024, reaching 15,043 units. However, for the first 8 months of the year, registrations are down by 8.9%, due to the postponement of the Rabla Auto Program. Dacia remains the market leader, with a volume of 4,153 units, and electric cars have increased by 93.1%. Romania and Slovakia are the only countries in Central Europe with declines in this sector.
