Naval incident on the Sulina Canal: a vessel sank after being hit by a tugboat.

A naval accident occurred on the Sulina Canal, where a vessel at anchor sank after being struck by a tugboat from a river convoy.

There were two people on board, who were thrown into the water as a result of the impact, but were quickly rescued by another vessel and taken safely to shore, without being injured.

According to the Romanian Naval Authority, the incident happened after a tugboat from the convoy collided with the anchored boat. The Tulcea Zone Captaincy has opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident.
