NATO will begin the implementation of the advanced MEROPS surveillance system, developed by Turkey, in Poland and Romania, in response to the increasing threats from Russian drones. This measure was prompted by recent violations of Polish airspace. MEROPS, capable of operating in low visibility conditions, will enhance early warning and response capabilities. Training for the use of the system will begin with the help of Ukraine.
