The Minister of Internal Affairs, Cătălin Predoiu, coordinated on Monday, together with Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu, a videoconference with the prefectures and county committees for emergency situations, considering the yellow and orange weather warnings. He requested an assessment of the roads and, if necessary, temporary restrictions for traffic safety. Recently, over 90,000 users in the counties of Alba and Hunedoara have been affected by power outages, and intervention teams are working to remedy the situation. Predoiu emphasized the importance of protecting vulnerable individuals, especially in extremely low temperature conditions, and called for the implementation of a plan for homeless individuals. All MAI structures are prepared to intervene, and the National Institute of Hydrology has issued a yellow flood warning for nine counties.
