Military prosecutors conducted a search on Friday at the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), seizing documents and phones, as part of an investigation in rem, according to judicial sources cited by G4Media and Observator. The investigation targets possible irregularities related to bonuses granted to military doctors, public procurement, and hiring within the institution. The head of DSU, Raed Arafat, refused to comment on details about the investigation, mentioning that the institution will issue an official statement. Arafat avoided confirming whether he is among the individuals targeted by the phone seizures, emphasizing that the information is still under analysis.
