Microsoft has suspended access for Unit 8200, the Israeli military intelligence agency, to its Azure cloud platform, used for extensive surveillance of Palestinians in Gaza. The decision came following an investigation that revealed the illegal storage of surveillance data. This generated internal and external pressures on the company, which has begun an investigation into its collaboration with the Israeli army, in the context of concerns related to the use of technology in conflicts.
