A medical evacuation mission was carried out by the Romanian Air Forces, bringing eight Palestinian patients from Gaza to Bucharest due to lack of access to adequate medical treatment. The C-130 Hercules aircraft took off from Otopeni Airport and landed in Israel to pick up the patients and their relatives.
After the medical evaluation, the aircraft returned to Romania, where the patients received medical assistance upon arrival. Subsequently, two patients were transported to Norway, and four to Belgium, while the rest received care in hospitals in Romania. The mission was coordinated in collaboration with various institutions, including the World Health Organization, and is part of a series of humanitarian actions carried out for the population in Gaza. This is the eighth support mission this year.
