Development Minister Cseke Attila Cseke said mayors will be able to decide whether or not to authorize gambling in their localities as part of a package of decentralization measures. This will allow local authorities to have a decisive role in organizing and licensing these activities. Within six months, those licensed under the current law must obtain new permits from the mayors or the activity will be abolished.
