Unexpected visit to Autobaza Floreasca: Ciprian Ciucu criticizes the technical condition of the fleet and the low incomes of STB mechanics

Ciprian Ciucu, the general mayor of the Capital, made an unannounced visit to the STB Floreasca Depot to assess the working conditions of the employees. Following discussions with the workers, drivers, and conductors, the mayor observed serious problems, such as the lack of spare parts for the means of transport, degrading working conditions, and low salaries.

The depot is old and deteriorated, and employees work in difficult conditions, including at low temperatures. Ciucu highlighted the salary discrepancy, mentioning that an STB mechanic earns between 4,000 and 5,000 lei, while an unskilled worker from Sanitation earns 6,000 lei. The mayor reiterated his commitment to save STB from bankruptcy and criticized the lack of investment in infrastructure.
