NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, stated at the NATO Forum in Bucharest that dialogue with the defense industry is crucial, considering that the threat from Russia will not end with the conclusion of the war in Ukraine. Rutte emphasized that Russia will continue to be a force of destabilization, collaborating with other states such as China and Iran. He highlighted the importance of increasing the production of military equipment, mentioning the need to improve quantity, creativity, and cooperation in this field.

Rutte pointed out that NATO has started to produce more ammunition than in the past and emphasized the importance of developing more efficient air defense systems. He also encouraged innovation through investments in technology and defense startups, to create a new generation of innovators. Cooperation with Ukraine and countries in the Pacific region was also a central point of his speech.
