Following an accident on the Nordului Road in Bucharest, a man riding an electric scooter sued the Roads Administration, seeking damages for the injuries sustained due to an unmarked pothole. Although he requested moral damages of 30,000 euros, the court deemed the amount excessive and set compensation at 4,000 lei, considering the severity of the injuries and the duration of medical care. The judge emphasized the responsibility of the Roads Administration for negligence in maintaining the road, but noted that the damage was not severe enough to justify the requested amount. The decision is not final and can be contested.
