A 67-year-old man was detained by police in Neamț for 24 hours after being accused of beating his 65-year-old partner and breaking a door and a window of the residence with an axe.

The incident was reported on Wednesday afternoon when the woman notified the police about the aggression she suffered. At the scene, the police identified the man, restrained him, and took him to the police station. Following the assessment of the situation, a temporary protection order was issued for five days. The man is accused of domestic violence, destruction, and threats.
