Italy is preparing a military mission in Romania, according to sources from the Republic. This mission, initially scheduled, was postponed as a result of the drone attack in Galați, an incident firmly condemned by the head of the Italian government, Giorgia Meloni.
The Italian Ministry of Defense announced that the soldiers will depart for Romania on June 15, and the operation will last at least a month. Approximately one hundred members of the Italian Air Force will participate in the mission, accompanied by several fighter jets.
This action underscores Italy's commitment to regional security and cooperation with Romania in the context of current tensions.
