The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management has updated the hydrological warnings, issuing code orange for flooding in Harghita, Mures, Bistrita-Nasaud and other counties between July 29 and July 30. Code yellow is also active in other counties. Heavy runoff and flash floods are expected and the population is advised to avoid activities near watercourses and prepare for evacuations. Authorities stress the importance of following official instructions.
