The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, announced that the National Forest Guard has identified illegal logging and wood theft in the protected area of Podișul Hârtibaciului, Brașov County, where protection rules should be strictly observed.
The felled trees were essential for ensuring the seeds necessary for the future development of the forest. Following the inspections, 7 contraventions were recorded, a fine of 30,000 lei was imposed, and a criminal case was opened. Diana Buzoianu emphasized the importance of inspections in protected areas, highlighting that each violation has long-term consequences for the environment.
