The six major economic powers of the European Union have reached an agreement on the creation of a single capital market. This decision will have direct effects both on the BVB and on the nearly 2 million direct investors or through funds from Romania, as well as on the policies of the Financial Supervisory Authority.
The agreement reached by the six largest economies in the European Union (E6) represents a crucial step towards the creation of a Capital Markets Union, an initiative aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the community bloc in relation to the United States and China.
Currently, each country in the EU has its own stock exchange and financial actors controlled by national authorities, such as ASF in Romania. The new agreement reached by the E6 gradually transfers power to the ESMA authority in Paris.
