The Hidroelectrica Company announced that on November 19, 2025, between 07:00 and 16:00, controlled discharges will be resumed downstream of the Vidraru Dam, as part of the process of emptying the reservoir. These operations are essential to verify the transport capacity of the Argeș River bed, following the consolidation works carried out by ABA Argeș–Vedea. The population is warned to avoid the area and to follow the authorities' instructions. The discharges will not affect the turbidity of drinking water, and the operations are conducted under strict monitoring.
