The decision to allocate a protocol residence to Traian Basescu has been postponed again by the Government, without providing clarifications. This is the second postponement in the last two weeks, in the context of the CCR declaring unconstitutional the law that restricted the benefits of former heads of state in case of collaboration with the Securitate. Băsescu initially challenged the withdrawal of the privileges and won, so he is now entitled to a protocol residence and 75% of his allowance. Information suggests that the villa is located on Emil Zola Street.
