On Friday morning, the natural gas supply was temporarily halted in Sector 5 of Bucharest due to a malfunction in the pipeline on General Medic Demosthen N. Atanase Street, caused by mechanized excavation works carried out by Apa Nova. Distrigaz Sud Rețele announced that 469 customers, both residential and non-residential, were affected by this outage. Additionally, at the request of ISU, residents of the affected street and nearby areas were evacuated to ensure their safety. Distrigaz Sud teams are on-site to repair the malfunction, and the gas supply is expected to be resumed on the same day, around 6:00 PM.
