Franklin Templeton, administrator of the Proprietatea Fund for almost 15 years, has announced that it is willing to negotiate a new 4-year mandate, despite the previous announcement that it would not participate in the selection process for a new administrator.

The company emphasized its commitment to the Fund and its shareholders, highlighting the expertise of the team in Bucharest. The Proprietatea Fund, established in 2005 to compensate Romanians whose properties were confiscated during communism, has been managed by Franklin Templeton since 2009. The fund was listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in 2011 and has an operational duration until 2031, with the possibility of extension. Franklin Templeton was appointed sole administrator in 2010, having successive mandates of 2 or 4 years.
