The flu continues to affect Romania, with an alarming number of deaths. In the last week, over 61,000 cases of respiratory infections were reported, a decrease compared to the previous week, but 37% more compared to the same period last season. Among these, over 10,500 were cases of clinical flu, almost double compared to last year. The flu has been confirmed in all counties, with the most illnesses reported in Bucharest, Cluj, Constanța, and Prahova. Additionally, 174 cases of flu have been confirmed through laboratory tests, and this week there have been 8 new deaths, mostly among people over 65 years old, totaling 11 deaths since the beginning of the flu season.
