The National Institute of Public Health has confirmed a case of West Nile virus infection, recorded between June 2 and July 3, in a 60-69 year old person in the county of Sălaj. INSP specialists recommend the population to avoid exposure to mosquitoes by wearing appropriate clothing, using chemical repellents, installing protective nets, draining puddles of water and removing household garbage to prevent infection.
